Saw that this place was on the list as one of the ten best chicken places in Indiana. We decided to road trip here just to find out. It did not disappoint. The chicken is cooked fresh after you order so dont be in a big hurry. Everything came out piping hot and was delicious. The service here was outstanding. This restaurant is very clean and well kept. It is very easy to find using Google Maps. There is plenty of free parking around the building.

I never knew this place existed in Shelbyville until it was featured on "Where is Sherman?" On Fox59 News! They claim to have the best chicken around, well since I'm a chicken connoisseur because it's my favorite food, I had to go find out for myself! I can certainly give this place my stamp of approval! Their chicken is really good, the pricing is good, and the parking lot is a little bit troublesome when they get absolutely busy. By the way all you can eat walleye on Wednesdays, Fridays, and Saturdays starting around 2 pm or 4 pm please check with them to be sure of time! The walleye is also extremely good! 5 star rating was as I high as I could give but if I could rate higher I would!

Stopped here based on reviews and looking for good chicken and walleye. Wife and I agree this is the best coleslaw we've had in a restaurant for a long time. Chicken was fried perfectly (not pan fried) and walleye was tasty as well. Place was packed on a Saturday night with families enjoying home style dining, so that was a great thing to see and a good sign. I'm looking forward to another visit while passing thru town.

I ate the Chicken Inn first in Friendship Indiana in their food truck. It’s the best walleye sandwich I’ve ever had. At the restaurant we ordered the French onion soup which was amazing. We also ordered the walleye and tenderloin. The tenderloin had a really good flavor. The staff was on top of things constantly bringing drinks and cleaning off the table.

From first view of this place it’s like a hole in the wall then once in side and seated it’s like family. If you are a local or from out of town this place will feel like home. From the fresh made slaw to the made to order fried chick (20m) this place hits the mark for home cooking comfort food like gram used to make. You know you’re in the right place when u see an owner taking orders and filling up drinks over sitting in a office. And where they come and talk to you as if u was old friends u have not seen in a long time. This is the best and a must visit. well worth the drive whether it be a 10 minute or a 2 hour trip. First timers and it was delicious! The fried rolls and apple butter were very tasty. They remined us of beignets and the apple butter went perfect with them. The chicken was excellent and all our sides were very good. Service was outstanding and decor so cute!
